Surviving The Kids Leaving Home
Spoiler Alert: They’ll Probably Come Back!
I’ve been reading some posts on LinkedIn today that made me think about my content — should I be aiming for information or stories?
Truth is I don’t really know what every reader out there in the big wide internet wants, so I am just going to return to the spirit of blogging back in the days before everyone was doing it, and write whatever’s on my mind.
I am the proud owner of two adult children. That is to say that they are 18 and 20 respectively and under the eyes of the law, adults.
In my eyes, they have some way to go, but not a lot.
They are both purely delightful. Good company. Funny. House-trained. Somehow (and I don’t quite know how they managed it with my dreadful example) they are good with money. They both have a great work ethic (I’ll take some credit there, along with their father). They are kind to animals and pretty good with people.
The eldest has just returned for their third year at university. And *shock horror* the youngest is planning to go to Europe as an au pair before the end of the year.
This leaves me, the youngest’s dog, the eldest’s cat and the other half to survive the best we can.
